If you're experiencing some connection or lag force closing and reopening the game may help.
To do this:
Xbox
- Press the Xbox button on the controller to open the Xbox guide
- Select Puzzle Quest 3 from the left side of the screen, then press the Menu button on your controller
- Select Quit
PlayStation
- Hold the PlayStation button (bottom center button on the controller) for ~3 seconds to open the Quick Menu
- Select the Close Application button (top button on this menu)
- Select the OK button to close the game
